Muscat based partner Taimur Malik advises clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and projects in countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Taimur has been involved in the development, project and operations phases of many of the largest government financed projects and foreign investment based projects in Oman. This includes the country’s first multi-billion dollar dry dock in Duqm and Oman’s first multi-billion dollar iron ore pelletizing plant and distribution center in Sohar. During 2015, Taimur has advised on some of Oman's most notable corporate transactions. Key matters include advising a sovereign wealth fund on various industrial, natural resources and manufacturing projects in Oman, acting as issue legal advisor for the country's first aviation related fund, advising a number of listed companies and financial institutions on a wide range of legal matters and advising various government pension funds on new projects in Oman. Prior to Curtis, Taimur was Head of Legal (Middle East) at Vale, the world's second largest mining and metals group.
Taimur is regularly published in leading publications in Oman, Pakistan and elsewhere. He has also contributed to books on joint ventures and M&A in the Middle East.
